## Client

[**Renaissance Executives**](https://renaissanceexecs.com/?ref=abstract27.com) — a hypnotherapy and wellness practice dedicated to business leaders, founded by **Anne Vigouroux**, with consulting rooms in **London (Barbican)** and **Paris**. A small body-and-mind team: clinical hypnotherapists alongside personal trainers and sports coaches.

## Industry

Health and wellbeing — an independent therapy practice serving executives and senior professionals

## Services provided

- Migration from Webflow to Ghost, with redirects from the old addresses
- A bespoke Ghost theme: dark editorial design in the client's brand colours
- One booking path: a free discovery chat on Calendly
- Copy review against the UK advertising code (ASA / CAP) with the client
- Team pages, a reviews page, a news section and a newsletter
- [Managed hosting, updates and support](https://abstract27.com/services/)

## Project objective

The previous site ran on a purchased Webflow template and was set to **noindex**: search engines were told to ignore it, so it brought in no organic visitors at all. It also no longer reflected how the practice actually works.

The practice has a single conversion path: a **short, free discovery chat**, after which Anne talks to the prospective client herself. Every page had to lead there — clearly, calmly, and without the hard sell that would put off a senior professional.

Three objectives:

1. **A credible, distinctive site** that looks like a premium practice, not a template.
2. **One obvious next step** on every page: book the discovery chat.
3. **Copy that is safe to publish.** As a registered practitioner, the client is bound by the UK advertising rules for health claims.

## The challenge

- Writing about therapy for a demanding audience without making claims the advertising code does not allow — and knowing that a published ASA ruling would rank on the practitioner's own name
- Presenting nine areas of work and a four-person team without turning the site into a catalogue
- A dark, editorial design that still passes accessibility checks: brand red on black does not have enough contrast for text
- Embedding booking and video without loading third-party trackers on every visit
- Handing over a site the client can edit without breaking the parts that are legally sensitive

## Solutions implemented

### A bespoke Ghost theme in the client's colours

We built a custom theme on [Ghost](https://abstract27.com/ghost-cms/): black background, cream text and the client's signature dark red, with a neural-network motif in the hero. Because that red is too dark to read as text on black, we use it only for large surfaces such as buttons, and a lighter red for links and highlights. The result passed our automated accessibility audit with **zero violations on desktop and mobile**, and the whole site remains readable with JavaScript switched off.

### One path: the discovery chat

Every page ends on the same action, "Book a discovery chat", with the reassurance next to the button: short, free, no obligation. The Calendly agenda only loads when the visitor clicks, so **no third-party request** is made before they choose to book. The founder's video works the same way.

### Copy reviewed against the advertising code

For a registered practitioner, the risk is not a fine: it is a public ASA ruling that ranks on their name. So we agreed three rules with the client for every published sentence — no named medical conditions, no promises of speed or cure, and personal experience described as experience rather than as a therapeutic effect. We reviewed the pages, the FAQ and the testimonials against those rules, and the client, as the advertiser, signed off the final wording.

### A structure that reads like a practice

A "How we work with you" hub leads to nine focused pages, each with its own image and the same booking path. Four team profiles present the clinical hypnotherapists and the coaches behind the body-and-mind approach. A reviews page, an FAQ, a contact page and a **news section with a newsletter** complete the site.

### Safe to hand over

The contents that carry legal weight — testimonials and figures — are locked in the theme rather than in free-text settings, so changing them is a deliberate, reviewed step. Everything else, from news posts to team pages, the client edits herself in Ghost.

## Result

- **renaissanceexecs.com is live on Ghost**, indexable by search engines for the first time
- One clear conversion path, on every page
- Copy that the practitioner can stand behind with her professional body
- Accessibility audit passed with zero violations, and no third-party tracking before consent
- Hosting, updates and backups handled by Abstract27
