Abstract27 for Ghost® — privacy notice and terms of use

Our role

For the content and member data of your Ghost® site, you are the controller and Abstract27 acts as a processor, only to carry out the actions you ask your AI assistant (Claude or ChatGPT) to perform. For the optional email you may leave when connecting, Abstract27 is the controller.

What we store

Your site address and title, and the type of key (integration key or staff token, with its role).
Your Admin API key or Staff access token, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is held separately from the database.
Sign-in tokens issued to Claude or ChatGPT (OAuth), stored only as SHA-256 hashes: access tokens expire after 1 hour, refresh tokens after 90 days without use.
An activity log: the name of each tool used, whether it succeeded and how long it took. Never the content, arguments or results.
Your email address, only if you enter it and tick the consent box, to send you connector updates and Ghost® tips.

What we do not store

Your posts, pages, images, newsletters, members' data, comments and statistics pass through our server to answer your request and are not stored. We do not read your conversations with your AI assistant, and we receive only the tool calls it makes.

Why we process it

To connect Claude or ChatGPT to your site and perform the actions you request (contract).
To secure the service, prevent abuse and fix errors (legitimate interest).
To send updates and tips, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (consent).

Where it is hosted and who receives it

The connector and its database run on our own servers at Hetzner in Germany (EU). Your requests go to your own Ghost® site. Error alerts and optional emails are sent through Mailgun (EU region). We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models. Your use of Claude or ChatGPT itself is governed by the terms and privacy policy of Anthropic or OpenAI.

How long we keep it

Activity log: 90 days.
Expired or revoked tokens: deleted within 7 days of expiry.
Your site address and encrypted key: while the connection exists; ask us to delete them at any time.
Email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Revoking access and your rights

Delete the “Claude” integration in your Ghost® admin (Settings → Integrations) or regenerate your staff token: access stops immediately. You can also remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT. You have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data and to object to its processing; to exercise these rights or ask a question, contact us. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

Terms of use

The connector is provided free of charge, as is, without any guarantee of availability. We may change or discontinue it, and suspend a connection that abuses the service or its rate limits.
You may connect only a Ghost® site you are entitled to administer, with a key you created for that purpose.
Actions are carried out on your site at your request. Irreversible actions (publishing, emailing, deleting, changing members, offers or settings) are shown as a preview first and run only after you approve them: you remain responsible for what you approve.
To the extent permitted by law, Abstract27 LTD is not liable for indirect losses or for content and emails you choose to publish or send. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.
