• ask for the source files when buying logos / graphics, etc.

Delegating to a specialist vs a generalist

• Before making your request, clearly define the assignment / brief, the budget, the delivery date and the scope, and check client reviews / portfolios
• intern and/or generalist - inexpensive, but not very specialised. Can be effective depending on the tasks.
• Specialists can sometimes be too technical and miss the point of the brief.
