It is normal to feel a loss of motivation when you feel you are not making progress in your business. However, it is important to stay motivated and continue to work hard to achieve your goals. Here are some tips to help you do this :
Surround yourself with peers
It is important to surround yourself with people who share the same interests and who are also motivated to develop your business. This can be friends, colleagues, mentors, interns, employees etc... who can offer you support and encouragement. Discuss your challenges with them and share your ideas and plans. This can help you stay motivated and find new solutions, new ideas, new projects to overcome obstacles.
Tracking data
It is important to track data and performance indicators of your business to know where you are and where you are going. This allows you to measure your progress and see if you are on track to achieve your goals. If you feel like you are stagnating, look at your data and see if you can identify opportunities for growth or areas where you can improve your performance. For us, we use Chartmogul to track revenue and Plausible or Google analytics for audience statistics.
Set goals
It is important to set clear and measurable goals to stay motivated and move forward in your business. These goals should be ambitious but achievable, so that you are motivated to work towards them. Also be sure to give yourself deadlines for reaching these goals, to give you extra motivation to move forward. Example:
- This week, I set up at least 4 meetings with partners/clients
- This month, I set up a communication campaign and get 2 new clients.
- This year, I write a minimum of 12 articles for the blog and I exceed my audience statistics compared to the previous year.
etc...
In summary, it is important to stay motivated to develop your business, even when you feel like you are stagnating. To achieve this, it is important to surround yourself with peers, track data and set clear and measurable goals. By implementing these strategies, you will be able to overcome obstacles and continue to grow your business.
